I represent and participate in three campaigns that lie very close to my heart as they affect my life each day. One is the work of Gingerbread, a charity that helps, advises and campaigns for single parents. I am a resident blogger for them and contribute towards their campaign ‘Make it work’ for single parents. This is a campaign to raise awareness of actually how hard life is for us single parents as well as dispelling many untruthful myths and prejudices that people may hold about single parents. You can read more about it here:
The other campaign I support, is that of the need to change employment law. Affected by it heavily once myself, which threw my life into the pit of doom, when I was left penny less – I took my employer (at that time) to court and won a very complicated case. I self represented as I had no money and have written about it. The details of it can be found here.
The third, goes without saying – fighting food poverty, everywhere but especially here in the UK.
